Motorola Xoom WiFi, 3G, 32GB Tablet Pros and Cons

This was one of the most anticipated tablets, but when it was released, it was a disappointment. A price of 36000 for the wifi 3G version meant that it was almost as expensive as the ipad2 and could not compete with the mediocre screen.

Still, why is it a good buy and why am I recommending it?

  • Ice Cream Sandwich: It has already been announced that the Xoom will get ICS. I’ve seen some early builds based on AOSP code (totally without Motorola’s support and unoptimized) and the tablet simply flies. With a properly optimized and supported ROM, it will make it a completely different experience.

Of course, the usual strengths still remain, the specs arent very different from the other tablets, but this is the original Google experience tablet, so you can be sure of updates for ICS and beyond.
