HTC Flyer WiFi 3G 32GB Tablet Pros and Cons

The HTC Flyer is an interesting and largely successful attempt at a 7 inch Android tablet. HTC Flyer is considerably lighter than the iPad 2 and Motorola Xoom, but the 7inch screen also means that it’s smaller.

HTC Flyer  Wi-Fi 3G 32 GB Pros

  • Design: It fits well in any normal hands, very handy.
  • Build: feels very solid when i hold it and no loose sounds from the outer case.
  • OS & UI: It comes loaded 2.3(Ginger bread) and can be upgraded OTA to 2.3.X
  • The UI (HTC Sense) makes the tablet look more beautiful and very user friendly.
  • Hardware & Price: This is the best tablet in the market within 24K price bracket with 1.5Ghz, 1Gb ram and 32GB inbuilt storage.
  • Camera: Camera quality is ok for video calling.Cant expect fine quality pictures.
  • Volume : speaker volume is great and through head phones its too good.(ear phones not supplies with in the box).
  • Misc: The Magic pen included is fun,but limited to few apps in 2.3(GB).3.x(HC) update will be released shortly where in the Magic pen will be of great use.(I hardly used the magic pen till now)
  • Battery: Gave me a 24hrs backup on continuous usage of wifi/3G,Videos,texting,market downloads, videos and Games. On an average it gave me 2 days backup. Sounds good.

HTC Flyer  Wi-Fi 3G 32 GB  Cons

  • Color: The white plastic color caps (top and bottom), can get dirty very soon.
  • Build: It’s a Aluminum shell, so it may get scratches and little heavy than its competitors.
  • Accessories: Screen guard and back Case are hard to find.(I feel back case is essential, hope FlipKart will add the AMZER back case for this very soon).Mini USB to HDMI converter is hard to find.
